Jurmala Paddling Marathon (JAM) is gradually turning into a tradition – this year it will take place for the second time. As before, the marathon is included in the festivities programme of Jurmala – resort town near the sea.
- Date and location:
3 July 2010, the City of Jūrmala. Gathering in Majori, at the paddling campus of Murjāņi Sports School at Jaunā iela 66.
- Programme8:30 Registration of participants at the paddling campus of Murjāņi Sports School.
10:30 Start for kayaks and touring canoes at Majori pier.
~11:00 Start for Open class from Dubulti beach (after kayaks and touring canoe have left the checkpoint of Dubulti beach).
10:40 – 11:00 Carrying of boats from the Lielupe to the sea (near the Dubulti railway station).
Participants turn round Jaunķemeri buoy and proceed in the direction of the Lielupe estuary.
Finish at Dubulti for Open class.
Finish at Majori pier for kayak and canoe class.
Announcing of results and prizegiving.
Traditional soup for all participants.

• Open class (sit-on-top and similar boat, with private or hired; equipment accord. to Point 6 of the JAM Regulations)
Distance for sea kayaks: river Lielupe -> Kauguri and back ~50 km
